![]() The only thing i can say is Nox is 2 steps behind Memu, they are in Android 5 yet. Also i use Nox, which i installed after using Memu a while, so far Nox works great.Resuming Memu play is my N° 1 Android Emulator, so far. Now, since i use memu and i use a LOT, i dont have see any kind of ads or something similar. Actually i use Memu Today, in fact is my prefered emulator to play the most games i like, i have 2 instances, one for android 5.+ and another to use Android 7.+.(and on Nox case you can also block it's tracking addresses on both the emulator and the host PC by modifying the hosts file). On Nox and MEmu you can remove their ads (MEmu) and block their tracking (Nox) by installing Nova and just modifying the /system image and removing all of their junk such as the stock launcher and other useless apps. So in my opinion, you're better off grabbing Nox or MEmu or the Android AVD and use that to run games than try virtualizing Android x86. To be honest, Android x86 doesn't work well with games, it comes pre-rooted and with adb enabled by default, something that a lot of games started to check now and while you can fix that, it doesn't emulate touch input when you are running with a mouse or don't have a touch screen, so on some games you have no input at all, and games that use sensors are of course broken, and to emulate those things you need root, so you are in a dependency loop. VirtualBox with Android x86 is not hardware accelerated, so it's using SwiftShader to render OpenGL ES using your CPU, so it's almost useless when you consider that even the UI is laggy, how can you even run games on it.Īndroid x86 has hardware acceleration support on VMWare and QEMU, so use that instead if you want to run Android x86 (i don't recommend it though). They hurt, but this is still the best option. Join us at /r/EmuDev Android Emulator accuracy tests:Īre you an emulator developer?
